What Were The Top Rebrands Of 2022?
Rebranding your company takes a lot of thought and consideration, as you want something that people will still recognise but that also modernises your business. When it comes to successful rebrands of the last year, here are the ones that really hit the mark.
Citroen
French car manufacturer Citroen decided to rebrand its iconic badge more than 100 years after it first launched.
The original oval containing two upside-down Vs has been softened to look more circular, while the chevron herringbone patterns have been thickened and made more prominent.
Skoda
Another car company that altered its image last year was Czech business SKODA, which wanted to highlight its environmentally-friendly endeavours by focusing on shades of green.
Marketing representative Petra Mackeova said this was intended to “allude more strongly to electromobility”.
The rebranding was the biggest marketing change for the company in 30 years.
Toblerone
Chocolate brand Toblerone revamped its look by getting rid of the mountain image and the yellow outline on its letters. It also altered the front to make it feel more modern.
Looka stated: “The new logo is an almost psychedelic reimagining of the old one, which suits the brand’s new expressive colour palette perfectly.”
Nakd
Healthy snack company Nakd changed its look early in the summer last year. While it kept its hand-drawn logo, it got rid of rough edges, the dark green, the bee illustration and the ‘wholefoods’ at the bottom.
Instead, it chose to keep the look simple, with a navy blue background against white typography in hopes this would be memorable for customers for years.
