Packaging design in Bedford - Cosanostra Design - Clarks

Their brief

Adapt and develop the initial pack design concept across the complete shoe-care product range. Consider pack front layout with regards to consistency across all types and sizes of packaging within the range. Adjust carton cutter guides accordingly to new supplied sizes.

Our thing

We applied the initial pack design supplied by Clarks to over 80+ artwork files. Inputing all language variants, warning/GDPR text and barcodes. Consistency across varying pack sizes was key to the final look of this product range. A very complex artworking project which we have been commissioned for the third year in succession.

The result

Our artworking skills proved successful as all print-ready files were supplied to print suppliers across the globe with no faults or recalls.

Packaging design in Bedford - Cosanostra Design - JBN

Their brief

Develop packaging designs for JBN's range of non-alcoholic sparkling grape juice beverages. The designs must distinctly communicate the flavor and grape variety, emphasizing the effervescent nature of the drink.

These designs are intended to establish the visual identity for all upcoming beverage products while offering the versatility to be applied in various color schemes.

As a leading design agency, our goal is to create a cohesive and dynamic packaging solution that captures the essence of JBN's sparkling grape juice line.

Our thing

We took a step back before going forward! …we proposed to our client the idea of crafting a more impactful JBN logo. The existing logo, composed of three black uppercase letters in the Arial font, presented a significant missed opportunity.

Our approach involved the creation of three stylised JBN letters, each coincidentally representing the initials of the mother and two daughters who make up this loving family business - Janet, Bethany, and Nicola. Intertwining the letters symbolsed 'arm in arm unity,' while a clever 45-degree rotation of the logotype revealed the stylised 'b' as a love heart, beautifully capturing the profound bond they share.

Boom, we not only met but exceeded the brief!

The result

Undoubtedly, this stands as the most exceptional feedback we've ever received from a client. We not only revisited the brief but also surpassed their expectations, delivering a solution far beyond what they had initially envisioned - as expressed in their own words!

Packaging design in Bedford - Cosanostra Design - Domaine La Tasque

Their brief

Develop a wine bottle label for Domaine La Tasque's latest red wine vintage, Appia.

The label design should incorporate a distinctive element from the brand logo, and the colour scheme should stand out from the rest of their wine collection.

Our thing

Inspired by the lush green foliage of the grapes used in crafting this wine, we chose a unique green hue that seamlessly transitions to the dark green of the bottles’ glass.

The elegantly designed 'Q' in the Tasque logo served as our connection, while the smooth lines of the selected Appia font mirror the velvety texture of this exquisite red wine.

The result

Among three design options presented, this particular one emerged as the unequivocal favorite without any revisions. The success of this label design led to further collaboration, including the creation of a set of A6 tasting cards for the other wines in Domaine La Tasque's range.

As a leading design agency, we pride ourselves on delivering impactful and well-received solutions that elevate the brand's presence.

Packaging design in Bedford - Cosanostra Design - Dypro

Their brief

Develop and design a wrap-around tin label for Dypro's multipurpose fabric dye. The label should effectively communicate the variety of colors offered by the Dypro brand and should stand out distinctly on the shelf.

Our thing

Upon reviewing Dypro's competitors, we made a strategic decision to deviate from the conventional imagery of dyed fabrics. In response to the brief's emphasis on shelf visibility, we chose to forget the typical fabric visuals and instead embraced an unexpected choice – a reptile, specifically a chameleon!

This unconventional approach, distinct from industry norms, positioned Dypro for immediate recognition and shelf prominence.

The result

The initial design visual we presented received swift approval.

Not only did our client highly praise the design, but the tin manufacturer also lauded it as "the best-looking tin they have ever made!"

Packaging design in Bedford - Cosanostra Design - Vim

Their brief

With reference to the Vim brand guidelines, we designed and created the pack graphics including the new cutterguide to hold a single non-scratch scourer for arguably the UK’s most famous household cleaning brand.

Our thing

Nothing says household cleaning quite like Vim, we were extremely happy to receive this request and followed their strict design guidelines to the letter.

The result

A successful pack design which fitted into their existing product range.

Packaging design in Bedford - Cosanostra Design - Dylon

Their brief

Conceive two front of pack images which will work within the DYLON® brand guidelines. Due to the limited amount of space on this international front of pack, the images need to instantly communicate what type of footwear the product is designed for and its effects when used. No further explanatory product text can be applied.

Our thing

With our in-depth knowledge and experience in packaging design we immediately recognised a photography direction which would answer the brief perfectly. We all know a picture is worth a thousand words and by showing the product in 3 colours with enhanced colour vibrancy within a brush mark - sold the concept beautifully.

The result

From our first concept immediately receiving the green light we delivered the final print-ready image the following day. Our turnaround time on this project was applauded and consequently opened the DYLON® door to more creative packaging design projects.

Packaging design in Bedford - Cosanostra Design - Get Off

Their brief

Due to their dated brand appearance this product range experienced a de-listing from a major high-street homeware store. As an immediate response by the client this packaging redesign brief arrived at our studio. Our brief was to create a completely new on-shelf brand appearance which would regain the confidence of retailers and consequently increase consumer sales.

Our thing

We never shy away from complex briefs which need to achieve results. Our initial steps were to look at the competition, we then devised a design concept which would rectify this product range’s on-shelf appeal from underdog to the front runner. We restructured the hierarchy of the front of pack information and created the new illustrative style which gave continuity across all four products.

The result

Our new pack design clearly and instantly communicated the product name first and foremost, something the old pack failed to achieve. The reduced sized brand name encapsulated in red gave way for more space to display the colourful illustrations but still communicated its presence. We were over joyed to hear the product was re-listed and introduced to new stores and was enjoying an up-turn in sales!
